Spreading Kindness
September 2022
Dear Parents and Students, Greetings from NLLIS!!
We hope you have all enjoyed the much needed vacation and have rejuvenated well. The Half Yearly Assessments are completed bringing an end to the Term 1 of the Session 2022-23. I am sure all my students would have done their best and will continue their efforts to outshine themselves in their future endeavours. As we begin Term 2, I look forward to seeing my students consistently learning, pushing their boundaries and challenging themselves beyond their comfort zone.
This month, let us all understand the importance of a very exquisite virtue- KINDNESS. Kindness is an act of being polite towards others. An act of kindness simply means a selfless act of helping someone in need or in general helping an individual in order make him/her happy without any expectation. Kindness can help to change the world, make this world a better place to live. Research has proven that kindness can help increase happiness, success, friendship, reduce stress and improve emotional wellbeing. Also, being kind to one another gives us the opportunity to connect with others, building a stronger sense of community and unity with friends, family, neighbours and even strangers. Kindness is not just limited to human beings; one must display kindness to animals and plants as well. When you are kind you lead a peaceful, happy life and you sleep better at night. Hence let us all inculcate this virtue with just three simple steps.
Be polite in your words and actions. Avoid using harsh words and gestures that can hurt people physically and mentally.
Help people in need with whatever you can. Be thankful for everything that you have.
Inculcating a few new practices everyday can bring about a great change in our personality and help us be a better person. We request all parents to help school in developing this virtue in our students. Let us work together to help our children grow into beautiful individuals. Have an Outstanding October!!
Thank you,
Regards,
Mrs Ratula Saha,
Principal, NILIS
